BANG! BANG! YOU'RE DEAD

I knew all along
That I was right at the start
Bout the seeds of the weeds
That grew in your heart
Self satisfaction for the factions
Who formed to tear us apart
Well I gave you the Midas touch
Oh you turned round and scratched out my heart

Oh what did you expect?
Oh tell me what did you expect?
To lay it on my head
So is it all upon my head?

Bang bang you're dead
Aways so easily lead
Bang bang you're dead
Put all the rumours to bed
Bang bang you’re dead

I knew all along
But I was loathe to believe
There was nothing but spite
Fury and lies
Of the words that you weave
An illusion to a conclusion
And oh its oh so tawdry
When you put it to bed
Kick it in the head
Oh wont they just let it be

Bang bang you're dead
Always so easily lead
Bang bang you're dead
Put all the rumours to bed
Bang bang you're dead

Oh what did you expect?
Oh tell me what did you expect?
To lay it on my head
So is it all upon my head?

Bang bang you're dead
Always so easily lead
Bang bang you're dead

love story lyrics by spideynakal90

We were both young when I first saw you
I close my eyes
And the flashback starts
I'm standing there
On a balcony in summer air

See the lights
See the party, the ball gowns
I see you make your way through the crowd
And say hello, little did I know

That you were Romeo, you were throwing pebbles
And my daddy said stay away from Juliet
And I was crying on the staircase
Begging you please don't go, and I said

Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting all there's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story baby just say yes

So I sneak out to the garden to see you
We keep quiet 'cause we're dead if they knew
So close your eyes
Escape this town for a little while

'Cause you were Romeo, I was a scarlet letter
And my daddy said stay away from Juliet
But you were everything to me
I was begging you please don't go and I said

Romeo take me somewhere we can be alone
I'll be waiting all there's left to do is run
You'll be the prince and I'll be the princess
It's a love story baby just say yes

Romeo save me, they try to tell me how to feel
This love is difficult, but it's real
Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess
It's a love story baby just say yes
Oh oh

I got tired of waiting
Wondering if you were ever coming around
My faith in you is fading
When I met you on the outskirts of town, and I said

Romeo save me I've been feeling so alone
I keep waiting for you but you never come
Is this in my head? I don't know what to think
He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring

And said, marry me Juliet
You'll never have to be alone
I love you and that's all I really know
I talked to your dad, go pick out a white dress
It's a love story baby just say yes

Oh, oh, oh, oh
'Cause we were both young when I first saw you

The National-School Dilemma....ACT NOW ON THE SCHOOL SYSTEM
There have been a number of calls in the past by educationists, community leaders and parents on this crucial subject of national schools. Indeed, there is nothing to add to what Yesuiah has already said.Suffice to say that issues that hinder national unity and integration of our multiracial and multireligious society must be identified and resolved quickly to reduce racial polarisation among our children, the future voters. Having just one school system from pre-school to tertiary level would certainly contribute towards national unity and racial harmony.I hope that the government, and particularly Education Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, will consider this matter seriously with a view to bringing significant changes to the current education system to accommodate the changes advocated by educationists and other concerned parties.
How to Spend Your Free Time Productively
Step 1Make a schedule. When you list down all the things you want to accomplish on a given week, you will be more likely to accomplish them--especially when you review your list at the end of every single day and cross out all the things you have already finished. For more efficient planning, categorize activities that are related to each other and do them by category.Step 2Learn new skills. Whether it is a hobby or a new career you are interested in, you may want to pursue them when you are not so busy. Learning is an investment, whether you spend money on it (like in college) or not (like reading at home). Read a few books about that computer program you've always wanted to learn. Afterwards, be sure to think of ways on how you can apply what you just learned on your own. Nurturing this skill may even lead to bigger things, such as a career move or promotion.Step 3Be active. Sports and exercise may be considered recreational, but they are very important because they help you be energized so that you may be able to accomplish more activities. Get a gym membership or try a new bike trail. Meet up with other joggers and run through various paths. Now is also the time to learn a new exercise that you have always been thinking about doing, like yoga or pilates.Step 4Entertain yourself. Set a day and time for leisure activities such as watching TV, seeing a play or going to a concert. Make sure to limit that activity to one particular day or time. For example, movies will always be on Friday nights. TV will be watched between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. This way, you will have more time to do your other tasks when you have a set time to take care of your need for entertainment.Step 5Do things that you always wanted to do but didn't have time doing before. Think about your current situation as well as your budget--if it's possible to take a weekend to travel to somewhere that you've never been to before, or stroll down the local beach. Be resourceful, as this characteristic will help you when your money won't.
Is There Life After SPM
THERE is a world of opportunities beyond college and university open to school-leavers after their Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination. And a group of young go-getters is hoping to inspire students with tales of successes, failures and everything in between.they are an Organised committee,a member Yeoh Chen Chow says the group is seeking young people to write about their experiences after SPM which it intends to compile for a book called What’s After SPM?.“Many of us realised that some are fortunate they knew what they could do after SPM,” he says.Others, however, cannot imagine life beyond secondary school. The point of the book, Yeoh adds, is not to tell run-of-the-mill stories of entering college or university but to inform about other paths people have chosen to pursue after school. The group has received narratives of travels in exotic locales and bold business ventures, for instance.“We hope that the book will reach every school library in Malaysia to give students the inspiration to pursue whatever they want.” There is no “best” or “right” route to take after school; any course can be good if you make the best of it and remain passionate about what you do.As this is a community service project, none of the participants, project committee members and project advisers will receive any form of royalty or payment.A fund-raiser will be held to collect money for the project and excess funds will go towards distributing the books to students and secondary schools for free.So far 53 entries have been sent in and the group is confident that the target of 100 will be reached by the April 30 deadline.

Let the people decide on the choice of school
LAST week, a senior government officer,an uncle of mine in Putrajaya told me his eldest son completed his studies at International School Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) and was now working with Petronas.I asked him what the difference was between his son and those who studied at Sekolah Kebangsaan. He said there is indeed a vast difference. He discovered, to his happiness, that his son has high self-esteem and was very confident of himself; he likes to read and is very articulate, with an excellent command of English. He is very lucky. Not so the majority of Malaysians who can't afford to send their children to international schools. In the 1950s, 60s and early 70s, children from poor families, including myself, were able to study in English-medium schools (Batu Road Boys School). Going to an English school has benefited me tremendously. The present generation is the product of the post-Merdeka education system, where a majority have to struggle to master the English language. Many are unable to read basic English reading materials such as newspapers, not to mention serious scholarly work or novels.Since they are handicapped in English they depend very much on the government for employment as English is not widely used in government departments.I don't understand why the government will not re-introduce English-medium schools while retaining vernacular schools. The rakyat should be given the option of deciding which schools they want their children to go to, as in the old days. Going to an English school doesn't mean we are less nationalistic or may lose our ability to speak Bahasa Malaysia.I don't see any problem re-introducing English-medium schools, except for the possible repercussions for some politicians. But these politicians must not only think of themselves. They must think of future generations. The present government must muster the political will to re-introduce English-medium schools, beginning from Primary One. Malaysia is a multiracial country and our history is different from Japan, France, Russia and Germany. Indonesian graduates have problems marketing themselves overseas for lack of English compared to the Indian subcontinent graduates, where English is used as a medium of instruction.
